Yoga Studios and Performance Rights Organizations

Yoga Alliance recently sent out a mass email discussing the issue facing many yoga studios across the nation. It has do to with an antiquated federal copyright law that has to do with the public performance (includes broadcasting) of music in commercial venues. What it states is that any commercial venue that is broadcasting music is required to pay a licensing fee to three separate Performance Rights Organizations here in the US: ASCAP, BMI and SESAC.
